Please help us build our community!
Please fill out this contact form if you'd like to be added to our mailing list, get involved, or just stay informed about issues affecting the neighborhood.
Join us at any of our bi-monthly PNA meetings, on the second Wednesday of every odd-numbered month (Jan, Mar, May, July, Sept, Nov) in the 2nd floor library of Áegis Living, 14900 1st Avenue NE, Shoreline. Áegis is across from the Twin Ponds Park Community Garden.
PNA can always use help with the following:
- Events and activities planning and/or volunteering on the day of an event
(see our events page for details about upcoming events)
- Social media/communications
- Distributing welcome packets to new neighbors
- Getting together with neighbors on your block for emergency planning, to
form a block watch, or to organize a Night Out Against Crime block party.
- Twin Ponds stewardship
Twin Ponds Park is a great source of pride and joy in our neighborhood. There are trails through the wooded areas, a playground, soccer field, tennis court, the community garden, a daylighted portion of Thornton Creek, ducks, and other wildlife.
Over the years, dedicated volunteers (Stewards of Twin Ponds Park) have worked to fight invasive plants that covered the area, thereby helping maintain trails for all to enjoy. At present, they meet most Sunday mornings at 9:30 for two hours or so.
If you are interested in joining this activity, please call Yoshiko Saheki
at (206) 362-0149.
- Helping with the community garden
The PNA is very proud of the Community Garden,
led by Shellie Anderson, Randy Eakin, and Nancy Short. There are volunteer openings for new or experienced gardeners to tend a food bank giving garden bed, from April – October 2016. Please email email@example.com.
